Nationwide FARE In Person/Virtual Event for HBCU Students & Grads - October 19th, 2022! (2907 hits)


Join us on October 19 for this special, highly-anticipated event specifically for HBCU Students and Recent Grads interested in careers with some of the best firms in the Financial Services Industry!

Why You Should Attend:
The Financial Alliance for Racial Equity is looking to connect with students from HBCUs and current young professionals who want to get a head start in landing an internship or full-time career in the financial services industry.

The goal of the event is to broaden awareness of FARE’s mission to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in the financial services industry and the communities served. This will also be a forum to attract students into roles available at FARE-member firms. FARE seeks to improve diversity in the financial services industry and understands the importance of representation at all levels in an organization. By hosting financial service recruiting events for HBCU students and young professionals, FARE hopes to encourage students, alumni and early career professionals to pursue career opportunities in the financial services industry.

What can I expect from the event?
Regardless of whether you are a virtual participant or in-person, you can expect:
Interviews for 2023 summer internships and current/future job opportunities
Networking with peers and industry executives
Resume and LinkedIn tips to stand out from the crowd
Special Keynote presentation from Earn Your Leisure (@earnyourleisure, earnyourleisure.com)
This special event will offer attendees the opportunity to network and potentially interview for the following types of roles from the FARE Firms:
•Internships
•Rotational Programs
•Full-Time Roles
•Financial Services
•IT
•Marketing
•Sales
•Economics

SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY: Travel Sponsorship for Select HBCU Students!
Up to 15 current junior and senior HBCU students will be selected to Fly-In to attend the event in-person with all travel expenses paid for by the FARE partner firms and companies. This will include airfare, 1-night hotel stay, meal vouchers and transportation to and from the event.

Also, up to 15 students from nearby Central State University will have the opportunity to be shuttled in to attend the event at no cost, as well.

EVENT DETAILS:

WHO: HBCU Students and recent graduates interested in financial service career opportunities. Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, IT and Business majors welcome!

WHAT: A unique opportunity to learn more about the Financial Services industry, the company culture, meet the team, ask questions and potentially land an internship or full-time position!

WHEN: Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm ET.
Internship & full-time interviews (in-person and virtual) will be scheduled between 2-5 p.m. ET.

WHERE: Columbus, Ohio (In-Person) or Virtual (Remote). Information for the in-person/virtual event will be provided with your completed application.
