The UNCF seeks a mission-driven, strategic, entrepreneurial fundraiser to serve as the Vice President of Development, Northeast Region.
The Vice President of Development, Northeast Region will have strong fundraising and management skills in the Northeast philanthropic marketplace. The successful candidate will have a track record of providing strategic direction, leadership, and daily management of fundraising initiatives. In addition, s/he will manage a personal portfolio of select major gift, corporate prospects and donors. The ideal candidate will create, design, and determine the strategy and implementation for special events within the Region.

Qualifications & Requirements
The successful candidate will be deeply engaged in the community, create a strong volunteer base, design, and implement a signature event. S/he will be the voice and face of UNCF in the New York, Newark, and Boston region, and will possess the professional maturity, stature and flexibility to effectively build relationships and alliances with the educational and philanthropic constituencies. The Vice President of Development, Northeast Region will join a culture in which passion for the mission, excellence, transparent collaboration; respect, performance measurement and accountability are guiding principles.

Headquartered in New York City, the Vice President of Development, Northeast Region will have oversight of the New York, Newark, and Boston offices. S/he will be integral in the continued long-term expansion of the UNCF’s philanthropic support in the New York, Newark, and Boston regions and, as such, will be responsible for broadening and deepening support from individuals, corporations, and foundations. The Vice President of Development, Northeast Region will play an important role in expanding UNCF’s brand and capacity to take full advantage of its leadership and philanthropic opportunities.
