Who You Are
As a full-time faculty member in the Early Childhood Education program you provide instruction in all levels of early childhood education, including certificate and/or transfer levels. You work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students. Student retention and success is your top priority. You will utilize technology and effective teaching strategies to develop students’ critical thinking skills.

You will lead the continued development and implementation of fully online Spanish ECE courses and are a highly qualified, bilingual (Spanish/English) subject matter expert who can develop and instruct these courses.

As a faculty member you act as a mentor for the part-time instructors. You serve as representative of the department by participating in committees, task forces, and events at the campus, college, and/or state levels. You may be asked to teach at different times, locations and modalities to meet the needs of the College.

Please note: This is an on-campus position with an opportunity for hybrid remote work. You need to be a Colorado resident on your first day of employment.

SALARY: $60,005 - $68,604 annually. Please see our Salary Matrix (Download PDF reader) (Download PDF reader) more specific information. The bilingual designation of this position will add a 5% salary increase to the matrix placement.

SELECTION PROCESS: Position will remain open until filled with a priority deadline of March 24, 2024.

Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of completed application package submitted by candidate. Completed application package includes: A resume; A letter of interest; A copy of official transcripts; A one-page statement of your teaching philosophy; and A list of courses and the semesters you have taught.

Un miembro de la facultad en el programa de Educación de la Primera Infancia (ECE); enseña cursos en todos los niveles del programa, incluyendo cursos para los certificados y los para matricularse a la universidad. Es capaz de trabajar individualmente y también de colaborar con colegas para desarrollar currículo que sirva a nuestros estudiantes diversos. Su máxima prioridad es la retención y el éxito de los estudiantes. Es capaz de utilizar la tecnología y las estrategias eficaces de enseñanza para desarrollar el pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes.

Dirige el desarrollo y la implementación de cursos de ECE en línea y desarrolla el papel de un/a experto/a de ECE bilingüe en español e inglés.

Como miembro de la facultad, proporciona ayuda e instrucción como un/a mentor/a de profesores de tiempo parcial. También es un miembro representativo/a del programa por su participación en comités y eventos de FRCC o al nivel estatal. Es posible que vaya a enseñar varias horas, en varios lugares o modalidades distintas según las necesidades del programa.

Qualifications & Requirements
Required Education/Training & Work Experience:
A related associate degree (or relevant current industry license or certification) and 4000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years
A related Bachelor’s or any Master’s degree with 18 discipline related credits and 2000 verified occupational/industry hours within 7 years.
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Related Degree, Credential, and/or Occupational Experience in: Early Childhood Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Development and Family Studies, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and child development, Child psychology

Requisitos de Educación, Entrenamiento y Experiencia Laboral:

Una licenciatura Associate’s Degree (o licencia/certificado industrial relevante y activo) mas 4000 horas verificadas de trabajo en la industria en los últimos 7 años.
