Project Accountant (JN -102024-380562)

Ledgent is working with multiple clients in the construction industry throughout Hartford County to find talented accounting/finance professionals to join their growing organizations. These roles range between Staff - Senior Accountant levels (with room for growth into Assistant Controller roles)! We are looking for individuals who are open to working fully on-site for both direct-hire & temp-to-hire opportunities paying anywhere between $70,000-100,000/annually!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Monitor project expenses and revenue, ensuring alignment with financial goals
  • Process invoices, payments, and financial transactions related to projects
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Collaborate with Project Managers & senior leadership to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Ad-hoc projects assigned periodically by senior leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4-8 years of hands-on accounting experience in construction, architecture or engineering industries
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of different ERP systems & MS Excel
