Our client, an established defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced full-time defense litigation paralegal with solid medical malpractice defense experience for its Tampa location. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to draft correspondence and pleadings Draft discovery and responses Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies Prepare non-party record subpoenas according to state and federal regulations e-file in state and federal courts Locate and work with expert witnesses; and prepare cases for witness interviews, Depositions, mediations and trial. Ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels including clients ****This is a timekeeper position so experience with timely reporting billable time in accordance with client guidelines is necessary. QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE: Able to hit the ground running and work well independently Must have strong analytical and organizational skills Be capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced, litigation team environment Have knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, ***especially the Florida Medical Malpractice statutes and process Proficiency in MS Office and Word and Adobe Acrobat or other pdf program.
