Since the new Trump administration has taken office, many hiring companies and organizations have made statements on their support of Diversity (Merit Based Recruitment) and their plans to cancel Diversity related initiatives.

With this evergreen article, we will track the lists of companies that have confirmed their commitment or plans to cancel Diversity programs in their organizations for 2025.

***Companies continuing their Diversity / Merit Based programs are assumed to be doing so legally.

Cancelling Diversity Initiatives

Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram): Meta has reduced its DEI programs, reflecting a broader trend among major corporations. (AP NEWS)

McDonald's: The company announced the discontinuation of certain DEI initiatives. (ABC NEWS)

Walmart: Walmart has scaled back its DEI commitments in response to evolving legal and social landscapes. (FORBES)

Lowe's: The home improvement retailer is among companies that have reduced their DEI programs. (FORBES)

Ford Motor Company: Ford has adjusted its DEI initiatives, aligning with recent shifts in corporate DEI strategies. (ADVOCATE.COM)
