Sr Analyst Taxation-1

Empower Yourself.</p><p><b>Accountabilities: </b></p><ul><li>Prepare Canadian income tax compliance in respect our entities, including preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership and trust income tax returns.</li><li>Prepare Canadian commodity tax compliance in respect our entities, including preparing and reviewing monthly commodity tax returns.</li><li>Prepare Canadian tax computations in respect of our entities, including preparing and reviewing annual adjustment cost base (ACB) computations.</li><li>Prepare Canadian tax computations in respect of our entities, including preparing and reviewing annual safe income computations.</li><li>Analyze, research, and document tax matters associated with the preparation of the above returns and computations.</li><li>Assist in responding to tax audit queries including gathering the information required and compiling responses. </li><li>Assist with document/data management by gathering and storing certain documents/data such as financial statements and legal agreements in standardized SharePoint sites. </li><li>Assist with the update and maintenance of end user computing (EUC) lists.</li><li>Assist with the development, coaching and training of staff members.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications and Competencies:</b> </p><ul><li>Completion of a professional accounting designation (or equivalent).</li></ul><ul><li>Currently enrolled/interested in completion of the CPA In-Depth Tax Course.</li><li>2-4 years of experience in Canadian taxation.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities to achieve required results.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively in a team environment.</li><li>Passion for developing others and developing a high-performance culture.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in Excel; experience in SAP, Taxprep, SharePoint and/or Longview Tax is an asset.</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>We are an equal opportunity employer with a commitment to diversity.
