Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their team in California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices and will contribute to the accurate and efficient management of financial records and transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage general ledger entries, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management for decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial data integrity.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Work Hours:

The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with standard business hours.

Additional Details:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
