Content Designer
As the Associate Content Designer, you will build on foundational content design skills and begin taking on more independent projects. In this role, there is an increased focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams to align content with product goals, refining messaging frameworks, and providing feedback on copy-related design elements. The Associate Content Designer adapts Best Buy's voice effectively and begins contributing to content system improvements, while ensuring adherence to style guides and consistency across the product.
This role is open to remote first or hybrid. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do- Understands key user needs and translates them into clear messaging goals at project kickoff.
- Collaborates with product partners to refine messaging that aligns with user and business objectives.
- Applies messaging frameworks confidently to produce clear, concise, and context appropriate content.
- Experiments with tone and style within established guidelines and explains rationale to stakeholders.
- Ensures polished, error free content that follows Best Buy's style guides and considers accessibility and localization needs.
Basic qualifications- 1 or more years of experience in a content or design related role
Preferred qualifications- Bachelor's Degree (4 yr) in English, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, UX/UI Design, Information Architecture, Product Design, related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Ability to apply messaging frameworks to produce clear, concise, and context appropriate content.
- Skill in adapting voice and tone within established style guidelines to support user and business needs.
- Proficiency in identifying opportunities to strengthen content consistency through patterns and terminology.
- Capacity to collaborate with partners, incorporate feedback, and align content with user and product goals.
