HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN IV WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment.
Will work with GDIT VLS Team to ensure operational status of contracted VLS work is completed to required procedures and specifications.
Will work with GDIT VLS Team to identify and correct any deficiencies found.
Will work with a competitive and highly trusted GDIT VLS Team.
The support the GDIT VLS Team provides ensures both the Fleet and VLS Program are maintained to the highest of standard.
As a VLS SMT you be expected to be a leader, a mentor, and subject matter expert(SME) will conducting yourself in representing GDIT and our customers.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Experience: 5+ years of VLS related experience
Required Technical Skills: Must have SMT card
Security Clearance Level: Will require Secret
Required Skills and Abilities: Hands-on experience with MK41 VLS equipment and previous experience with overhauls in accordance with Intermediate Maintenance Standard (IMS)
Preferred Skills: Previous shipboard experience, knowledge of operating a forklift, and use of hand and power tools
Location: Chesapeake, VA
