The QC Scientist is responsible for testing raw materials and finished goods to ensure that material and product specifications are met. The QC Scientist investigates and troubleshoots analytical instrument functionality and performance problems. The testing is completed in compliance with established protocols and in time to meet our customers needs. This position reports to the Sr. QC Manager and is part of the QC Department located in Logan, Utah and will be an on-site role. What you will do: - Utilize knowledge of chemistry, biology, and quality systems to perform sample preparation, routine analytical testing, and inspection procedures on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure that product specifications, company and regulatory requirements are met.
- Assist other QC Scientists to validate and/or verify quality testing methods to ensure first time success with raw materials and finished products.
- Assist with investigations and troubleshoot functionality and performance problems. Recommends corrective action when appropriate.
- Interface with other team members and departments to achieve key performance indicators for the QC Department.
- Assist with the overall maintenance of the QC Laboratory equipment and cleanliness of the laboratory space.
Who you are: - Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a regulated Quality Control and/or academic laboratory.
- Demonstrated experience with analytical chemistry and biochemical analytical techniques.
- Preferred Masters degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role - Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs. for analytical equipment and waste removal.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Experience in a regulated QC and/or academic laboratory using ICPMS, HPLC, and other complex analytical equipment.

The annual salary range for this role is $57,500 $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
