As a Field Technician V you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Field Technician V joining our team to work with our Shipboard Alteration Installation Team (AIT), troubleshoot work, assist with maintenance of documentation, and help plan work. Provides feedback to personnel fabricating, maintaining and repairing electronic, mechanical, and structural components and equipment. Manage engineering personnel and resources assigned to specific work on ships. Tasked with ensuring strict compliance with Shipboard Drawings, Technical Guidance, Shipyard operating rules and effective operation of fielded systems. Must be proficient in the following:
Reading and interpreting Shipboard Installation Drawings
Skilled and familiar with Naval Cableway Management under MIL-STD-2003 and NAVSEAINST. 9304.1D Cableway Management Systems
Strong knowledge of Marine Electrician work, electrical systems, WAF/Tag-out guidelines and professional standards.
Strong knowledge of marine structural work, welding requirements, hot/cold work controls and professional standards.
Ability to work with high performing teams of various skill positions to include, mechanical, welders, shipfitters, laborers and subcontractors.
Field Technician V will compile and submit weekly reports, generate Conditions Found Reports, make recommendations for Liaison Action Reports (LARS), provide input for planning and executing work.
WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Associates degree or equivalent experience
Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Location: On Customer Site, in-office; Must be able obtain access to Shipyard and Government Installations
