IT Infrastructure Engineering Task Lead

Our work depends on this role to serve as the primary point-of-contact to the Program Manager (and at times the Government) for all infrastructure engineering support-related needs. This role will manage a team that supports the infrastructure operations tasks of a complete spectrum of IT engineering projects, platforms, and services, including infrastructure, endpoint, security, and network services. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Serving as the primary interface to the Government for all infrastructure engineering supportSupporting the full range of infrastructure engineering services to include:Network engineeringSecurity engineeringNew / upgraded site installation engineeringData center design and enhancement engineeringThird party network access engineeringBackup and storage engineeringInfrastructure patch managementInfrastructure integration and testingInfrastructure research and technology innovationOverseeing and managing the delivery of design and development for all infrastructure engineering tasks includingIntegration and testingMigration / deployment support functions for new and existing infrastructure solutions.Ensuring quality delivery of Engineering Tier 3 support in coordination with the Service Desk to resolve network outages WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED: Required:Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experienceRequired Experience: 10+ total years of related experience3+ years in a lead infrastructure engineering role3+ years in a lead role supporting an enterprise ecosystem3+ years managing technical staff as a manager/team leadPrevious large-scale (15K+ endpoints) experience supporting U.S. Federal Government customers is required. Expertise in:Vulnerability managementPatch managementZero Trust principles and implementationAzure CloudSecurity LoggingThreat huntingCDM Preferred:Familiarity with Federal Security mandates (e.g., FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP) Please Note: Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position. This leadership role, is a hybrid position that will require you to work 2 to 3 days every week onsite at both a GDIT location in Rockville, MD as well as HHS headquarters in southwest DC on an as-needed basis.
