Medicaid Data Manager

Join GDIT as a Data Manager for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Medicaid Data Manager, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of state and local health. You will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing Medicaid related systems.Manage and collaborate with stakeholders in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of data services and projectsOversee data design and the creation of database architecture and data repositoryParticipate in Agency Data Governance activities as requestedOversee adherence to project, Agency, State and Federal data governance policiesManage and collaborate with stakeholders in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of data services and projectsOversee data design and the creation of database architecture and data repository(ies)Develop the CPMS Data Management PlanManage data mapping and/or conversion activitiesDeploy Data Corrective Action processes (as needed)Provide information as needed for project status reporting WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your health data management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Data Manager must have:Eight (8) years of experience managing Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer data projectsFive (5) years of experience using visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI and ExcelSix (6) years of experience as a Data Manager (manager of datacenter or infrastructure type project)Six (6) years of experience with implementation and operations of technology deployments relevant to the proposed solutionAdvanced understanding of SQL or working directly with MS Access joining relational tables together and knowledge of one otherscripting/compiled/statistical programming language (e.g., VBA, Python, R, SAS, .NET, C++ and Java)Working knowledge of Medicaid Claims and Administrative dataUnderstanding of HL7 and FHIR data standardsWorking knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0, and the CMS Conditions for Enhanced FundingBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or other technical degree Additional Information Work Arrangements: Remote. Travel 20-50% . Security: A background check will be required. Timeline: This is a contingent job posting. Work is not expected to begin until December 2026 or later.
