Systems Administrator Senior TS/SCI requiredMake meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Systems Administrator Senior, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful supporting mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).Responsible for activities related to system administration. Assigns personnel to various projects, directs their activities, and evaluates their work. Ensures long-term requirements of systems operations and administration are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer software. Implements operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functionsProvide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systemsManage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systemsProvide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problemProvide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customersProvide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution processConfigure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systemsInstall/load operating system and application softwareIsolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereofTroubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performanceIntegrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education:Bachelors degreeExperience: 12+ years of related experienceTechnical skills:Ability to provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systemsBe able to provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated ticketsSecurity clearance level: TS/SCIUS citizenship requiredRequired Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractIAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent Computing Env: Computing Env: MSCA 2016, Microsoft Azure Administrator or equivalent (Must obtain the full AZ104 Microsoft Azure Administrator within 180 days from start date.)Role Requirements:On customer site daily supportCandidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contractPosition may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activityTravel may be required to support the mission GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunitiesSupport: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goalsRewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time offCommunity: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplace OWN YOUR OPPORTUNITY Explore a career at GDIT and youll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your ambition to deliver your best work. #GDITINSCOM #I2TS4 #GDITArmy
