In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will develop, manage, and execute supporting documents, projects, and operational readiness related to the launch and production of the AP2 HA Washer Factory. The Manufacturing Engineer will act as a primary liaison for the AP2 factory and the development and support of equipment, tools, and operations. This position will primarily focus on the areas of Cabinet Fabrication and Assembly. This position will be a core team support member for safety, cost-saving, operational improvement, and quality KPI’s while driving continuous improvement throughout the facility. This position is 100% Onsite.<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Position</span></h2>Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Manufacturing Engineer – Cabinet Fabrication)<h2></h2><h2><span class="emphasis-3">Location</span></h2>USA, Louisville, KY<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">How You'll Create Possibilities</span></h2><p><b>Manufacturing Operations: </b></p><div><ul><li>Technical factory representative for all processes, cross-functional team meetings, and design reviews for washer cabinet assembly equipment.</li><li>Creation of Standardized work, Maintenance Procedures, TPM Checksheets, and training documents for each process and equipment (collaborating with each equipment OEM).</li><li>Establishing initial operational budgets for each equipment/process and area.</li><li>Development and supporting member of creating KPI tracking tools, AI implementation, and hardware with DT Support.</li><li>Preparation of each manufacturing and process area for factory operations readiness</li><li>Use and utilization of problem-solving techniques (8D, A3, 5-Why) to propose and support KPI related projects throughout the AP2 factory.</li><li>Support role for materials layout and AMR strategy with the AP2 Materials Team.</li><li>Cross-functional team member for supporting factory-wide KPI initiatives and projects.</li><li>Support role and Point-of-Contact for incoming Maintenance team regarding incoming new equipment. Developing and collaborating preventative maintenance procedures with TPM and Maintenance Team.</li></ul></div><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3">What You'll Bring to Our Team</span></h2><p><b><span>Position Requirements: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive operational success and continuous improvement.</span></li></ul><ul><li><span>High energy, initiative, and motivation to contribute to a team-oriented environment and pursue personal and professional growth. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong follow-through on initiatives. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Capable of facilitating and leading team-driven projects. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Willingness to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, with occasional off-shift, on-call, and weekend work as needed. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Minimum Qualifications: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor’s of Science degree in mechanical / electrical / manufacturing engineering, business or scientific-related field.</span></li><li><span>Minimum of 3 years’ of relevant experience in an engineering role working with automated manufacturing equipment, processes, and production systems.</span></li><li><span>Leadership experience or technical proficiency in areas such as manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials management, quality, procurement, or fulfillment. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Preferred Qualifications: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering working with advanced automated manufacturing equipment, processes, and production systems.</span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Experience leading or working with metal fabrication, component fastening, or automated equipment operations. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Six Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, and other improvement methodologies. </span></li></ul><ul><li><span>Track record of driving results through analytical methods, project scheduling, and teamwork. </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Working Conditions:  </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environments.</span></li><li><span>Work may involve lifting materials and products up to 25 pounds.</span></li><li><span>Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.</span></li><li><span>Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.</span></li><li><span>Work will include walking and standing for extended periods, using stairs, cross-overs and ladders.</span></li><li><span>Up to 30% of travel required for international and domestic travel to plants, suppliers, etc.</span></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><span class="emphasis-3"><b>Our Culture</b></span></h2><p style="text-align:left"><span>Our work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
