Here, technologists have many paths to grow a meaningful career supporting cyber missions and operations across government.MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Data Steward, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting Medicaid information systems. You will play a crucial role as the primary contact for the data issues within the Medicaid Systems solution and establish the data governance for the program: Implements strategies and tools to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access, theft, or accidental deletion.Establish and designate individuals as Data Stewards and obtain required customer approvalsManage and control the quality of data Primary contact for the data issues within the programDefine the data and establish data ownershipIdentify data assets, lineage, and business rules within their own data domains to ensure data element continuity and avoid data conflictCollaborate internally to establish data quality reporting metrics, evaluate, and identify issues/corrections and coordinate and implement data management best practicesManage and control the quality of dataMonitor the processes for collecting data and ensure that the information is in the right formatOrganize data according to the business units needs and references while maintaining compliance to data governance policySolve data-related issues by managing data corruption or mapping data between program areasCreate and support processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence to established internal policies and standardsMaintain quality of the data with program engagement for feedback, concerns, or questionsMonitor data usage to assist and share information on trends in data utilization, while providing insights on data use details (how, where and what) to support administrative and operational decision-makingEnsure compliance and security of the data for protecting the data assets while providing information on potential risks and offering regulatory guidanceWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDBring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Data Steward must have:Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, management information system, statistics, or other related data discipline.Related Certification optional but preferredTwo (2) years of direct work experience as a data steward, data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer working in a health care or related entity.Prefer experience with both Medicaid claims and clinical data in support of health information management activities, or within an organizations data governance infrastructure and policy frameworkKnowledge of Medicaid claims data formats as well a Health Level 7 (HL7), Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA0 and/or United States Core of Interoperability (USCDI)GDIT IS YOUR PLACEAt GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.
